Hi,

My name is Charlotte and I am passionate about History. Unfortunately, many people view history as words on a page, events that they simply have to learn to pass an exam - but I think history is more than that; history is full of gossip, scandal, and plot twists.

One technique that I have trialed and tested is making sure students have an overview of the time period and are confident on the dates of events before delving into the details. Many people think knowing the dates would be one of the least important aspects, but having a solid grasp of chronology, including important dates and timelines, will enhance one's understanding of historical events. It allows students to see the connections between different periods and events, identify patterns, and analyze the causes and consequences of specific events. After all, understanding the context, causes, and effects of historical events is crucial to gaining a deeper appreciation and comprehension of the subject.

I can teach over Zoom or In person, and my lessons will not only include content but also guiding students through past paper questions and revision techniques.
