I have had experience as a KS3/KS4 drama teaching assistant. During this time, I have seen students become more confident in performance and as individuals.

I always structure my lessons around the student's needs. Whether you need help with exam technique, revising subject terminology, various plays/performance styles, drama practitioners or just want to be more confident with Drama as a whole I'm here to help! We will usually begin with a brief starter exercise for no longer than five minutes to get our brains working such as, going over subject terminology or summarising the plot of a play you are studying. Then, we will get stuck into some learning!

For KS4, we can work together on a past paper, or writing an essay- anything you need help with to support your upcoming exams. However for KS3, we can focus more deeply on the topic you are studying in drama and I will ask questions as we go along in the course of the lesson to ensure subject terminology is being used efficiently.

Throughout the lesson please ask as many questions as you need to but, I also leave a few minutes at the end of the lesson to summarise what we did, how well you did and what you can improve upon next time, and prepare for the next lesson.

It’s important to know that I take my time really getting the know the student and the existing knowledge they already have before building upon this in an ambitious way. I do not judge and my only aim is to get the best out of my students to help them succeed both in education and in real life.
