I have taught GCSE Drama and A Level Drama and Theatre Studies at an outstanding secondary school in Oxfordshire for 3 years, achieving results positioned consistently above the national average. A recent success story was with a student who was predicted a 'C' at the beginning of her A Levels. She left with an 'A' grade. I am taking a year out of teaching to complete an MA but hope to return to secondary teaching next year.

The purpose of the first lesson would be to figure out what your concerns, struggles and priorities are, as well as getting basic information such as your set texts and the shape of your course at school. I would then use this information to plan following lessons.
