With recently completing my A Levels I have a great knowledge of the current exam question styles and mark schemes.
In maths tutorials I plan to make use of examples provided by exam boards to cover all variations and styles of questions. In addition, I can provide recent exam paper questions for practise. I am able to mark these using corresponding mark schemes, in which I can explain to tutees.
Similarly to maths, I can provide exam questions for both biology and geography.
However, biology lessons will be more PowerPoint based, focussing on the tutees areas of concern. A trick that has helped me greatly throughout my revision has been the ability to link different units to have a more cohesive view on the subject. This is also something I will focus on on my geography tutorials.
During both biology and geography tutorials, I will have focus on linking content to real life. Whether that be case studies in geography or with day-to-day experiences with biology. I personally found having pets to be a great way to understand biology. I was simply able to expand my knowledge on the digestive system through my dog having surgery on his duodenum!
I can also provide help with homework sent out by schools. With classroom experience (through my work experience) I believe I can provide a solid learning environment. With the addition of the more tailored and individual approach of the tutorials, I can ensure you will receive and excellent addition to your studies in school.
