The way I will run my sessions will be targeted specifically to my students’ weaknesses. I will have a deep conversation about what areas need work and use their current knowledge to help them understand the teaching. I’m always willing to listen to the student, and make changes to my lessons accordingly as I believe that they are the most important person for their education! I am patient and believe that I can make a good lesson plan for anyone, no matter what the ability or age.

I plan to use past papers as a good understanding of the way their exams are marked is key to their academic success. This includes practising the questions, discussing how the student would tackle the paper and finally, I would run through the mark scheme and explain how to succeed in detail.

I will make my own practice questions, tailored specifically to what I feel needs to be taught to the student.

I will run through material from textbooks/other course material to make sure I’m hitting everything that they need to know (I’ll make sure it’s not just boring reading for them though!)

I will discuss any uncertainty they had in lessons, and make sure that they understand everything that has been taught to them.

Overall I have a strong passion for leading my students to success, helping them achieve their goals and giving them the tools to become confident and knowledgeable people.
