I have been surrounded by methods of teaching my whole life and those experiences taught me two things. The first, which I learnt through school, was that anything, any subject, no matter how much a person can think they aren't interested, can be learnt from a great teacher. Teaching isn't about forcing information into someone's mind. It's about simply talking to someone, catering to their interests and transforming that relationship into a way to teach.
The second thing I learnt was patience and understanding. My mother is an english teacher and although she now works in an actual school, for many years of my life she would organise private lessons at our house with kids from our town every week. This showed me how necessary patience is when teaching and has allowed me to put myself in my student's shoes. I know how hard it is to learn a language when it perhaps has never been a part of your life, or maybe you simply didn't have a patient teacher.
These are the two values that I'm commited to bring to my lessons. I will teach you english in a friendly, patient and most of all understanding way. I will ask you about your hobbies, your interests, your priorities in life and I will use that information to teach you english.
