I like to teach in a very simple way, by teaching the student the content first and then going over this and solidifying the content by doing practice questions and interactive/engaging quizzes such as kahoot, which are especially helpful when teaching languages, because of small changes to words due to different tenses. At the start of each continuing lesson, I like to always review the content and objectives of the lesson beforehand by quizzing the student to ensure that it all goes into long term memory and they remember the information more easily in the future. If they seem to not have understood or retained the knowledge from the previous lesson then I will repeat the content at a slower pace and specifically ask them for details about what they do not understand so that we can focus more on these specific areas. For each lesson I will have specific objectives to complete with the student within the time frame, which help to set me to keep record of what has been covered in each lesson and also means that I can aim to achieve certain goals with the student every lesson. However, these goals are not needed to be met if the student needs extra time on more difficult vocabulary or tenses.
For Spanish especially, I like to teach the basics really well and solidify them as without this, the more complicated content becomes a lot harder than it should be, therefore I focus on the basics a lot to avoid this issue.

Thank you.
