I will start off by asking you what (if anything) you are struggling with in school/sixth form, and work through practice questions in those topics with you until you are comfortable answering questions yourself, which I will then mark. GCSE and A-level maths is all about structure and executing technique. Most questions every year follow similar structures, once you have sussed those structures out, you are guaranteed high marks and grades. If you are lucky enough to not have any topics that you are struggling with, tell me what you're learning at the moment, and I will make you proficient at it through similar techniques. You don't want to be one mark off an A*/9/5 in your final exams, it is very important that you are as good as you can be in every topic in the curriculum. In addition, if you tell me what you're about to learn in class, I am very happy to teach it to you in advance of learning it again in school/sixth form, and I am good at linking it to topics you have already learnt. I have found it useful in the past to have prior knowledge going into learning tricky content for the first time in class. It is often good to have things to recognise when encountering new mathematics, so that it doesn't seem intimidating, especially if your teacher skips over steps and goes over it at a faster pace than they should. I am passionate about mathematics, good at explaining tricky topics, and very patient.
