Charles Sprinkles

I am a former U.S. Army Infantry Officer with 20 years of service. I have a double Masters Degree in Military History and Global History and 12 hours toward a PhD in Military History. I am the author of 2 published books, "Shiloh The 1St. Day: Turning Point of the American Civil War," and my current book that comes out in August 2023, "FDR and High Treason at Pearl Harbor: Roosevelt's Scandal." It is being published by Pen & Sword publishing out of the United Kingdom. I teach by having my students write a forum each week on a question I propose to them and then answer to the question. Then I answer their answer. It is important to me and the student for the student to use his critical thinking when answering the question. I also have the student write a research paper on the topic of the class, again promoting his critical thinking. The forums make up 75% of the grade and the research paper makes up 25% of the grade. I also offer extra credit in the forum of a book report on a book I recommend on the subject matter of the class. I also provide my email for my students to contact me anytime with any questions they may have about the class and I also encourage students to discuss the subject matter on a weekly level to gain more knowledge on different aspects of the subject matter and their different points of view they may have.
