I delivered the modules using various teaching and learning approaches by supporting the students for one-to-one and small group workshop, in class and in drop-in sessions. I provided the assessment of learning through practical work, quizzes, grading of assignments, and providing student feedbacks. At the first meeting with the student, I discuss their learning styles and the best approach at accommodating diverse student needs, offering individualised support. This allows me to know how best to provide them with the lesson materials and the teaching strategy to use on a subject-student specific approach. The assessment of the student is based on formative aspects of their learning, I give assignment/homework, tasks in the sessions and provide feedback.
I am aware of the value of the pastoral care of students and take the role of teacher very seriously in improving student experience and employability. I have demonstrated experience in teaching and learning from young children/adult (STEM Ambassador/tutor) to the University level. Students now live in a fast-paced technology development, changing learning approaches, styles, and preferences', employing innovative strategies in teaching and learning is the new normal. There is increasing higher bar set in the labour market by employers due to the growing competition and ever innovating industrial revolution. I provided support via teaching and learning technologies such as MOLE Blackboard collaborate – virtual learning environment and Turnitin – online submission system. Through careful observations of teaching philosophies, approaches, and learning styles, I developed a valuable collection of effective teaching techniques from which I draw.
