What My Typing Lessons Look Like

I provide engaging one-on-one typing lessons virtually using video chat platforms. My lessons target core areas needed to transform from hunt-and-peck typing to confident and quicker touch typing.

We begin each 60 minute session with warm-up drills to reinforce proper hand/finger placement. Then we dive into personalized skill-building exercises I've designed from over a decade teaching typing. These interactive activities help reinforce memorization of key positions and develop speed through practice.

I guide you through introducing new keys and techniques step-by-step, ensuring you fully grasp foundations before moving forward. Lessons incorporate games testing new knowledge to keep things fun! I assign supplemental practice between lessons using online programs that track growth.

Having taught all ages/abilities for many years, I have the experience to evaluate gaps and apply targeted training to up typing proficiency. My approach balances patience in explaining methods clearly with pushing students to new speeds. My online curriculum has demonstrated major WPM improvements in students consistently.

Along the journey I provide tips/tricks around posture for ergonomics, managing accuracy, developing touch rhythm and more. With an uplifting teaching style I keep you motivated! My students walk away typing faster and more efficiently whether for professional or personal pursuits.
