In our lessons together, I will take a student-led approach supported by methods and techniques that are suited to each student. During our 1-hour free lesson, we will discuss your aims (target grades, areas of uncertainty etc.) and what techniques and learning styles work best for you. As a visual learner, I am used to using a variety of techniques so I understand that whatever works for you is best! In our lessons, we will nail tricky concepts, practise exam questions and try some new techniques to tailor our lessons to you.
I will also aim to give suggestions of work to do between tutoring sessions and am happy to mark papers. I prefer to take a supportive down to earth approach as secondary education especially is a very stressful time. Looking forward to meeting you!
I recently graduated from a masters in ecology and conservation from the university of Southampton and have a huge passion for understanding climate change and protecting our environment. I achieved two A*A*A at A-level as well as 8s in sciences at GCSE so completely understand how difficult it is getting through these tough years especially whilst maintaining a good work-life balance in a post-covid world. My next steps are pursuing a career in the environmental sector working in ecological consultancy but having worked as a student ambassador at my uni supporting students make their choice of higher education, I’m keen to keep that up with tutoring!
