I prefer to utilise an active recall approach. First by understanding what the student knows and then by working through the specification by using blurting methods, revision cards and quick fire questions. I like to finish off the lesson by working through an exam styled question and then working through the students strengths and areas of improvement. I believe practice questions are key and once the student is able to understand the basic structure of an essay we can then begin to complete practice questions and then past papers in times conditions.
