When I design presentations, I make sure that they are interactive, easy to understand, and visually pleasing. I usually highlight key points and include step by step explanations, to make it easy to follow. Furthermore, I explain in detail while presenting to make sure the viewer fully understands the topic. After a few sessions I tailor the presentation according to the student and how they prefer to be taught, to make sure the lesson is as enjoyable, and as easy to understand.
During the first session, I’ll assess the students level of understanding to know where I should focus on helping them. When teaching, I’ll ask the student whether they feel confident in a certain section and make sure they have practiced the topic, and test them after they finish a topic. I’ll make sure the lesson is more conversational based, and not lecture based, as it will create an engaging environment for their learning.
Depending on the syllabus the student is learning from, I’ll structure the lessons to be short and compact, while making sure to go over topics to make the students have good recall.
