I have been teaching History and Modern Studies for almost 10 years now, across a few different schools in Edinburgh, Scotland.

I am innovative and passionate about teaching and this comes across in my lessons which are tailored based on the learners I am working with. I like to check general understanding, as well as build key skills, all the while making learning fun and personable. I have a young family so would prefer to do teaching online.

We can work together if you are pre-exam years on historical/political content or more general skills like essay help. If you are in your senior years working towards an exam and on course work like the assignment for National 5/Higher, we can work on this together. Equally if you are doing Advanced Higher and want help with your dissertation that is something I have helped many students with too.

My classes at school out perform other classes. People I have tutored before have gone on to achieve results they didn’t feel were possible that have enabled them to go onto universities such as Edinburgh, St Andrews and Durham. I have also often had people I tutor come back to me the following year when they take my subject on at school the following year, or indeed I have had them recommend me to someone new or in a few cases I have tutored more than one family member.
