Hello there. How are you?

I am a TEFL Academy certified English as Foreign Language tutor. I mostly work online, but can see you in person if you are based in London.

I hold a Bachelors degree in English & Critical Theory, and I'm a writer for pleasure. I therefore have an excellent grasp of all aspects of the English language, as well as a clear 'BBC' type accent. The English language is my passion and I love helping others to learn it.

I am a retired NHS clinician who has started teaching as a second career later in life, so I bring plenty of patience, kindness and life experience to all my lessons.

I can work with all ability levels: from learning the basic building blocks of vocabulary, grammar, words and sounds to improve your fluency and comprehension, to acquiring profession specific technical language and written skills. My area of particular expertise is medical/clinical language.

We will start our working relationship with an assessment of your needs, and then make a detailed plan of how to achieve them. Then we work on the plan, with regular progress reviews built in. The inherent nature of private tuition means that we can work together for as long as it takes. And I will think outside the box when it comes to lesson structure. I aim to make all my students' lessons fun, accessible, and unique to their goals.
