I recently graduated from the University of Oxford with a Master's degree in Physics. I currently work as a full-time maths tutor in a high-achieving secondary school, working exclusively with year 11 students looking to achieve their full potential in their GCSE maths. I work with over 25 students in 1-1 or small group settings, ranging from those pushing for a grade 4, to those I am pushing to achieve a grade 9. I also have extensive experience in science, completing my degree in Physics, specialising in Astrophysics and Biological Physics. Therefore I am deeply knowledgeable in Physics and Biology, as well as Chemistry which I studied at A-level.

My lessons begin by practicing concepts and skills we learned in previous sessions, to ensure that all information is retained and consolidated. We will then learn or review a new skill, tailored to your preferences or specific areas of weakness, and practice this skill on progressively harder questions until you have mastered tackling even the most difficult exam questions. I will pay close attention to where you struggle, and create an open environment for you to ask questions.

As a young and approachable tutor, I prioritise creating a comfortable learning environment where students feel at ease. This supportive atmosphere enhances the learning experience, ensuring you make the most out of the session. My passion for teaching and commitment to your success means I am always available to answer questions and provide additional resources, including in the time between our tutoring sessions.

I understand the balance that a student needs to strike between enjoying your subject, hard work and exam-specific preparation. I am very experienced in successful exam preparation and have knowledge in exam technique that I pass onto any students I teach. I also offer valuable advice in university admissions, including specialist Oxbridge knowledge, if a student should require it.
