My name is Kim and I am a native English speaker from South Africa, where we have 11 official languages - so I am used to hearing different languages daily. I am also bilingual as I speak a second language from my country, and I learnt French in high school, so as you can see – I have a love for languages. I am a qualified online TEFL tutor and have a TEFL certificate from Bridge Education Group. I have been tutoring English classes online via Zoom these past 2 years at a language centre in Canada. I currently teach 2 x 1-hour lessons a day, 5 days a week as well as 2 x 2-hour lessons on the weekends. I tutor from A1 - C2 level (starter, beginner, elementary, pre-intermediate, and intermediate). The lessons incorporate listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. I also focus on grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and error correction. I include conversation classes where students practice what they have learnt in class. I include homework for practice as well. I have 40 years of experience in the corporate sector (hospitality, engineering & energy) and I can assist with business English as well. I am happy to tutor both children and adults alike, whether it be for school or for business purposes. I am patient and engaging and I enjoy tutoring speakers of a foreign language. I am excited to meet people from all over the world, and to help them realise their goal of learning to speak English fluently and confidently.
