I am an Oxford graduate with well over a decade of tutoring and group-teaching experience under my belt, as well as a background in youth counselling and youth work. I offer customised lessons to suit your interests and needs, with a basic lesson length of 45 minutes. I teach all ages and levels (my youngest tutee is 6, my eldest 76). In your first (free) session, we will focus on your learning goals and assessing your best learning style, after which I will devise a tailored lesson plan based around the core competencies and most appropriate learning tools to empower you to achieve your best results. Whatever type of learner you are, and however you best learn, we will work together to ensure your learning journey is both rewarding and enjoyable. I will use a range of dynamic and engaging resources during class, and, where requested, provide carefully selected homework materials too, so that you can continue to build on your learning in between sessions.
I have always had a passion for teaching, and have years of both voluntary and paid experience in individual and group teaching scenarios. Always looking for the next challenge, I have degrees in French and German (University of Oxford), History, and Translation Studies (both: Queen's University Belfast), and am currently working towards a BA in Psychology (Open University). In addition to teaching, I have a dynamic portfolio career as a translator and children's counsellor. I truly believe that every day is a learning day; get in touch and we can start on your tailored learning journey today!
