I have been teaching mathematics for two and a half years, and have found that students can retain and apply their knowledge best when it is taught thoroughly. I begin each topic by carefully building up the theory you need with the help of lots of examples and calculations. I will ensure you are comfortable and happy with each section of a given topic before moving on to the next, and will show you how each section fits together.

After you are comfortable with the concepts of each topic, we will go through a lot of example questions, starting with simple problems and building up to high-mark exam style questions, with focus on problem solving. I will teach you what to look out for in the wording of a question, and how best to present your answers. I also go by the specification to ensure you are comfortable with all question types within a given topic.

After you feel you have a good grasp of a topic, we will move on to the next, but will revise the question types regularly so that your skills are kept fresh, and you don't spend time completely re-learning any topics. This is the most efficient way through any course, and will help you to build up a great collection of skills and will help you to feel on-top of your work.
