I like to have a first free lesson to gage what the student wants to focus on.
I primarily teach online so all of my resources are Internet based. If it's a grammar topic, I like to do a lesson or half a lesson depending on the topic going over theory and then using the remainder of the lesson, homework, or part of the next lesson to practice the topic.
As I work with mainly alevel and gcse students I also like to incorporate exam questions in exams, even if it's not the focuse of the class. I feel exam questions help develop Vocab and grammar topics and so are very useful for the students.
