Lessons are aimed at improving your confidence in your own abilities. Starting with a discussion about the learning and how it applies to real life, then practicing basics before moving on to more advanced concepts.
In maths I like to use concrete materials such as counters and beads to help us understand what we are doing. Then I like to move on to more pictorial and abstract methods.
In literacy I like to focus on improving 1% every lesson, whether that be grammar or vocabulary. With time and practice I see a lot of improvement.
I ensure you will feel successful in every lesson which will help to build your confidence.
I am aware that some methods will not work for you, therefore we will work together to find a learning method that works best for you.
