I implement a broad range of instructional techniques to retain learner interest and maximize individual learning either remotely or within a group environment.

As a teacher, I am highly committed to planning for attainment and progression knowing that learners have differing learning styles thus I provide opportunities to cater for diverse learner needs by integrating strategies necessary for Inclusion. My role involves giving skilled support to learners to execute work successfully, encouraging independent learning and developing their metacognitive skills.
Currently, I am an Artist Teacher within a mainstream secondary and 6th form school, teaching Art and Design to KS3 and KS4.
My responsibilities include ensuring that I facilitate planned modules guided by the National curriculum. These modules are then broken down into lessons that seek to raise attainment and to achieve overall learning via effective teaching practices.
I prepare lessons that challenge learners of different ability levels and learning styles. I achieve this principally via bite sized structured work, teacher modelling successful outcomes and with formative and summative assessment/evaluation techniques.
My role involves being an inclusive practitioner as I adapt my teaching using differentiated smart targets that are specific, measurable, achievable and realistic for each learner.
Also, with quality and diversity, I make reasonable adjustments to cater for learning disabilities and differences that could be present in the classroom.

I am aware of learning difficulties like phonological, delayed speech, attention span difficulties and processing speed hence the importance that I facilitate strategies, interventions, good quality teaching with multisensory teaching resources.

I make it priority to promote a balanced “learner friendly” environment where learning is structured, building on learner strengths so that they thrive, achieve curriculum requirements and succeed in their education.
