I believe student-centered learning is best and students can have the flexibility to learn and explore as guidance is given for structure, content, and knowledge. I believe learning should be engaging and creative showing each student’s individuality abilities. I have been teaching over 20 years including globally and use a global mindset approach. Every child learns differently and using multiple approaches to maximize the best learning environment per the student will yield greater results. I like to incorporate technology and critical thinking skills that applies to real life learning to best equip my students for the real world. Learning attributes are also a part of learning & shows how well student are developing social skills to handle conflict or challenges in academics or socially. I believe a student’s social & emotional status is a part of learning and being able to reflect & show what they have learned indicates how well they have processed & gain knowledge of the curriculum. I believe exploration is a tool that gives students the flexibility to learn and grow without limitations. Learning from a global perspective will best prepare students to be open and prepared to build relationships that will compliment their knowledge to go beyond the classroom and into a world of diversity. I like to scaffold lessons & allow my students to build, discuss, and show mental thinking process. I like to use art, music, and games to show students learning is fun and creative. Books are only a part of learning but what you bring exceeds what is written. An open mind will always learn more.
