I tailor my lessons to the individual strengths and interests of my students. Sessions are based on learning styles best suited for each subject and learner needs. I aim to create a comfortable, relaxed and positive learning environment for everyone. Online platforms allow time for confidence to be built and a positive rapport between student and tutor develop. I use a wide range of resources immediately available online and interactive programs. Interactive whiteboards allow both my self and my student to work together in a collaborative manner. My sessions start with a quick questions and answers, followed by the main body of the lesson and a recap in the form of a quiz. Sessions will then progress at a pace which focuses on the abilities and learning styles of my students. My focus is always on creating a calm, postitive environment for my students to gain confidence and maximise their learning potential. One of my most recent success stories is helping my student succeed in obtaining their GCSE’s, despite battling severe anxiety. All our sessions were online and communication purely through verbal contact by me and written responses from my student. At the beginning of our sessions this student found even speaking online overwhelmkng, so we found a format that fitted their individual needs. Teaching for me is about finding the best, most appropriate way for each individual leaner. I find it immensely rewardjng and satisfying to connect with a student and help them to reach their potential in the best possible way.
