Carol Garrason

As an avid learner and adventurer, I love sharing my knowledge with children, teens and adults alike. Teaching, to me, is about learning how my student learns, understanding their strengths and challenges, and adapting my skills for their best outcomes, in a way that is both fun and comprehensive. My tutoring and mentoring experience has been with students of varying abilities, specializing in students with learning differences. My degrees include an AS degree in Architectural Technology, a BS in Healthcare Administration and Psychology. I have worked in several countries and three continents teaching English as a second language. I am fluent in French through study and immersion in France, and I love sharing the language and culture with my students, whether for school or because they want to travel. I am capable of teaching French from beginner to advanced. I volunteer as an advocate for individuals with mental health needs, and in my spare time I enjoy art, cooking, photography, and walking.
