I am a 3rd Year Medical Student with a passion for learning as well as teaching. Having tutored for nearly 4 years to students ranging from 8 to 18, I have gathered a number of resources and developed techniques to help each lesson feel personalised to each student's need in an engaging, non-pressured environment.

I typically start my first lesson with every new student going the specification of the exam board my students are studying to enable them to understand what depth of knowledge is expected of them, as well as finding out when their exam dates are to help them set realistic goals. After determining together what areas they would like to focus on (e.g. in-line with content taught at school, vs just weaker areas, or simply straight from beginning), I spend the first half of the lesson refreshing their knowledge on the basics of the chosen topic, and the second half going through exam style questions.

I am a fan of quizzes and love incorporating online games and resources into my lessons to help students get a better grasp of the topics. Having studied 13 GCSEs at secondary school myself, I understand how stressful the time period can be, and I am always willing to employ different methods of learning and revising to help make the learning process more exciting.

I find homework an important tool to improving one's own learning and am happy to help guide students through work set for them in school, or alternatively set homework which we will spend the first half of the next lesson going over in as much depth as needed to help students feel confident in answering similar questions in the future.
