My approach when teaching is to make learning fun and engaging in a comfortable way. In our first lesson, we will take a look at your skill level and asses what areas you would like to focus on for our lessons. After that, I will tailor lessons to help you focus on your Korean language goals. I am upbeat and passionate about making language learning fun! We can practice things like reading comprehension, listening, making sentences or ways to memorise grammar and vocabulary.

Usually in lessons, I will have activities on the screen for us to complete and the only thing you will need to bring is a pen and paper if you would like to make notes or practice making sentences. In our lessons, I will also try to integrate learning some elements of Korean culture that you are interested in and your other general areas of interest so you can talk about things you like in Korean!

If you are starting from scratch with Korean I will help you build a strong foundation in the language to get you to the level you want to be.

As I was also a beginner once I know areas that might be tricky when starting out. I have a degree in Korean Studies from the University of Sheffield and also was able to study intensive Korean language lessons at Sogang University in Korea for a year. I hope to use teaching styles similar to my teachers, as I believe learning in a fun stress-free way is the best way to learn a language.
