My lessons are very much dependent on you - there is no one-size-fits-all approach to learning a language and so every lesson is adapted based on the areas where you need extra support and the ways in which you learn best. I have been a language learner all my life and have been through GCSE, A levels and university exams. I understand the challenges learning a language can bring and so I want to use this experience and the methods I've picked up along the way to help you reach your goals. The format will vary to make sure you are practicing all 4 skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. The content will also vary depending on whether you have a set syllabus or a particular area of French you want to improve. However, the most important thing for me as a tutor is introducing you to real-life examples and showing you how the French language is used by native French speakers. This will include excerpts from French newspapers, TV shows, books etc. as well as examples from my own day-to-day communication with native speakers from around the world.
My goal is to help you improve and to share my passion with you for the French language. Any tutoring journey will begin with an analysis of your current level, your aims and your preferred method of learning. Some may prefer a more structured approach, others a more conversational and free-flowing approach. Whether you are struggling with the subjunctive, finding conjugations challenging or wanting to improve your speaking skills, please feel free to reach out to me so we can put a plan together to improve your French.
