My name is Camille, I am an education professional who is really passionate about supporting people with their learning, and crucially, about getting people to actually have fun with learning a language!

I grew up in a small seaside town in France, and even as a child I loved learning languages, and exploring different cultures! I studied History and Politics at uni and had the opportunity to spend a year studying in Oviedo, in the North of Spain. I completely fell in love with it, so at the end of my studies I decided to go back there and teach English and French. I moved to the UK 6 years ago to continue working in education.

For the last 8 years, I have worked as an educator in a variety of roles - including teaching EFL, French and Spanish to students from 4 years old to adults. I have also been a SEND teaching assistant, working closely with children with autism, ADHD and dyslexia.

I provide tailored and engaging 1-to-1 classes to students of all abilities and levels. My classes are always interactive and adapted to each student’s needs and how they learn.
I want my students to feel comfortable and safe to try things, make mistakes and learn from them so I foster a fun and nurturing learning environment. Lessons are typically one-hour long but this can be discussed.

A common concern in education is not knowing if and how progress is happening, so I will provide feedback at the end of each session and answers any questions, to make sure students and families are in control of their learning.

A key facet of my teaching style is that I love putting language back into context to make learning more fun and applicable. When teaching languages, I focus on real-world examples and materials to promote communication as well as passing exams. Often, people lose interest in learning a language because they don’t see the point of it and don’t learn to communicate in relatable situations. Language learning is more effective when enjoyable and fun, so I also use a lot of music, games, and film extracts in my lessons.
