Since 2020, I have been delivering engaging history lessons for students aged 11+ on various topics, from the Battle of Hastings to the Cold War! Since completing my PhD in History at the University of Aberdeen, I want to help inspire and educate a future generation of history lovers and equip them with excellent analytical skills and an ability to formulate and present well-structured opinions.

Whether in person or online, I always stay clear of tired and old PowerPoint presentations. Instead, I like to use new methods and historical sources that make studying history and exam prep far more engaging for students of all ages. Whether you want specialised one-to-one tutoring or to be part of a larger group, I can organise and prepare activities that make history come alive.

As a tutor at an ancient university, I often tutor first-year students from all four corners of the United Kingdom. Therefore, I frequently keep myself familiarised with SQA, AQA, WJEC and CCEA curriculums. However, I pride myself on going further and studying the marking guides for the history papers for these exam boards. This extra step helps put me in an ideal position to provide tailored assistance to help my students pass their exams and, often, continue their love of history. At the university level, as someone often marking undergraduate exams and essays, I believe I am in an ideal position to identify where students can make simple changes and methods to boost their grades.
