I am a qualified English teacher (PGCE with distinction) and examiner.
I have taught in a variety of schools in the UK and Thailand for the last 13 years. I've worked with students and families from many cultures and backgrounds - I love getting to know new people and developing effective connections, so we can work together to help students improve their skills and realise their potential.
I am a compassionate and respectful communicator. I care about the holistic wellbeing of my students. It is essential that students feel comfortable before they can take risks and try new skills. I'm approachable and value clear, honest and compassionate communication.
I have extensive experience with the IB MYP and DP curriculum, as well as GCSE and A level courses. I am confident in developing universal English literature skills (literary analysis, deep understanding of key texts, structuring and communicating clearly) for students of any age and ability.
I have taught at innovative free schools (in the UK) and for a transformational international school in Thailand. Additionally, I have three years experience as an IB examiner for Individual Oral and exam Paper 2. These experiences have prepared me to deliver insightful, contemporary lessons to a range of skill levels. I will deliver personalised learning experiences designed to build confidence and improve key skills.
I'm excited to work with new students and to learn more about their passion and curiosity about English language and literature! Please reach out if you have any questions about specific curriculum, courses or skills that you are eager to develop.
Be well!
