I would normally structure my lessons in a set manner. I would explain the theory of what we would be learning in that specific lesson, ensuring any questions asked by the student are thoroughly explained. We would then go through a worked example together in order to understand all of the processes we need to undertake to solve the question/problem posed to us. After working together on an example I would then give the student a set of progressively harder questions to answer. If they become unsure or need some help we would work through it together, then they can apply what they've learnt to the new question. Should I believe the student to be confident enough during the session we would then be able to move on to a different topic in preparation for the next lesson, or on the other hand if the student requires more support I will set a relative amount of homework for the student that will be marked out of lesson time and worked through in the next lesson.
I would be more than happy to tutor the following subjects: Biology (GCSE) Maths (GCSE) Physics (GCSE) Business (A level) Psychology (A level) Biology (A level) Economics (GCSE)
I believe in building a strong rapport and having a good relationship with the student, providing a calm and relaxed environment in which they are comfortable to learn, and not put under any undue pressure to do well, as this would only hinder their learning process.
