My experience with a vast age range of students means I am uniquely qualified to tailor your learning experience to your exact needs. When I worked in high schools, I prepared presentations on cross cultural subjects, and set up classroom debates on hot button issues. When I worked with younger students, I used memory games and visual aids to make them more comfortable and entertained as they learned. With my older clients, sometimes we engaged in long, free-form conversations on important topics like AI and free speech, but I also tested them for their C1 examinations, to give them the tools they needed directly.

During my time in Italy I had to alter my approach to every student drastically: One pupil spoke no English whatsoever, but by the time we finished our course he was conversing with me naturally, and making connections with translations and tenses. A young girl I taught went on to get full marks in her end of years tests, and a university student said that her essay which I helped refine and naturalise was applauded by her bosses.

I used exercises like Dictations to test and correct pronunciation, Readings to test comprehension, Questions to test engagement and expression, and so and so forth. You and I don't need to use of any these though - I find that sometimes the best way to get speaking is just to start - once you're up to a consistent level, then we can go back and comb over the specifics.
