Our commitment lies in prioritizing the student's goals and aspirations. Tailored lessons cater to individual preferences, whether it be mastering specific songs or genres, pursuing drumming grades, or exploring potential career paths in music.
Currently, Callum offers instruction in two distinct grading systems: Trinity College London classical or rock and pop. While these and other grading systems are accommodated, they are not mandatory. However, for some students, grades serve as a valuable tool for tracking progress.
Lessons are adaptable to any musical genre, though Callum specializes in rock and pop. With a wealth of experience spanning various musical contexts, including jazz orchestras, studio recording sessions, live shows, educational settings, BA (hons) in Music and 2 years performing on cruise ships, Callum brings a diverse skill set to the instruction table.
Callum Masters boasts a rich teaching history spanning back to 2013, underpinned by a steadfast belief in the potential of dedicated practice to foster success. Throughout his tenure, Callum has nurtured numerous students of diverse age groups, fostering substantial growth in their drumming proficiency, theoretical understanding, and self-assurance. Notably, he has achieved distinction in all graded examinations up to Grade 8 through Trinity College London.
Simultaneously, Callum maintains an active performance schedule as the drummer for Bailey Tomkinson and the locals, performing at various gigs and festivals across the UK. His two-year tenure performing with a party band on cruise ships afforded him invaluable experiences traversing Europe, the United States, and beyond.
Callum's musical journey commenced at the tender age of three, when he first laid hands on a drum set, subsequently embarking on formal instruction at age eight. During his time at Bodmin College, he served as the drummer for the college jazz orchestra, partaking in international tours to destinations such as New York and Paris. Moreover, Callum pursued studies in music at both Bodmin College and Truro College before obtaining his degree in Professional Musicianship from BIMM Bristol in 2019.
