I have been teaching for three years, guiding students through language exams up to A Level. I am a bit of a grammar nerd, so I really enjoy developing writing and translation skills, but also focus on speaking and communication as one of the key elements of lessons. I also teach piano and music theory to students as young as six, so I have experience working with quite the range of ages!
I am spending this academic year in Strasbourg, so I know what it is like to be in unfamiliar territory learning a language. It is daunting at first when everyone is speaking so quickly and using words you don’t know, but you get there eventually! Exams are important and working towards them in a structured way is an essential component of lessons, but so too is having fun and learning about yourself in the process.
I love learning languages and my next goal is to start German. I started once before and gave up, but I am ready for the challenge again. There is never a better time to start learning a new language than now, and I hope I can be a part of your learning journey.
