I am very passionate about English, in every aspect. I hope to provide a positive and happy space for each of my students as they gain confidence in the subject as well as learning and refreshing key areas. I have a degree in English linguistics with a forensic Linguistics and I am currently training to become a teacher. My lessons will be based off of the national curriculum but I will use other resources to help my teaching. For each of my tutoring sessions, I will rely on the responses and student outcomes ( evident in work and understanding) to plan where we will be going next but to also track the progress of my students. I am very calm and open to asking questions so this is something that I will encourage my students to do. I will ask beforehand about the lesson areas that the student will need me to focus on so that I can plan lessons accordingly to each student's needs. I have experience working 1:1 and 1:2 in a previous TA job where the main focus was cognitive skills, phonics and language skills. I do have a very good understanding of the current needs of GCSE English and A-level as well as primary level as I am currently training to become a teacher.
