I use a simple and adaptable format when structuring lessons; we will always begin with a vocal warm-up - this is so important to keep your voice safe and healthy! The rest of the lesson will be more freeform as we will work on a song of your choosing, I can also suggest appropriate repertoire for you level if you'd prefer. This song might be one for a Vocal Grade exam if you are intending to go through that route, or it could be a song that you like and want to improve on. We will focus on breathing, protection, dynamics, vocal health and control through the chosen song, which will improve your overall singing voice.

During my six years of teaching experience, both privately and in secondary schools, I have helped students from complete beginners to advanced vocalists gain more confidence, achieve target grades in GCSE and A Level Performance components, and attain distinctions in Graded Examinations. My specialism is encouraging singers to find their own voice through gaining more control over their singing. I am furthering my expertise by learning the Estill Voice Training method which focusses on the physiology and the anatomy of the voice, which I am eager to share with my students.
