I have several years experience of tutoring Mathematics GCSE. Your tutoring experience is completely tailored to you and where you hope to be. We will begin with an initial self-assessment and go from there.

My service is additional to your classroom learning so I will take guidance from you for what you would like to cover within our sessions.

Our sessions will entail going through the topic to improve your understanding, I will offer as many explanations in as many different ways as you need to fully understand the topic. We will then go through some worked examples together step-by-step. I will also have some examples for you to do by yourself with me there to help along the way as and when you need. After the session you should then do some more examples by yourself, which I will provide, to consolidate understanding. In our next session, I will offer you the chance to ask any questions you had about these examples and offer any more support you may need. I am of the opinion that you will get out of tutoring as much as you put in. With maths in particular, the trick is to keep doing things again and again until you are fully confident. Because of this, we will revisit topics briefly across the year to check the understanding is still there. I am willing to go over topics as many times as you need until it clicks!
