My teaching is engaging and interactive. I will prepare slideshows of current exhibitions and shows, and encourage my students to go and visit them and to make sketches in the galleries. We will then discuss their drawings, the overall painting and discover more about the artist and the genre/ style they are working in. It is important that my lessons encourage the children to make! That is what it is all about. To stay attentive to the rest of the world and want to respond to it. We will also study art history, and I hope to do some practical lessons where we talk about colour mixing and the technicalities of painting and drawing.
