Hi! My name is Brook Boen. I have over 15 years of tutoring experience. For me, tutoring isn't work; it’s a fulfilling activity that I have a passion for, and really enjoy doing. I love being a positive influence in a student’s life and enjoy helping them succeed in school. I have worked with children my entire life, from babysitting to daycare to tutoring to teaching. I also have 4 children myself! I have tutored a range of students from the elementary level to the high school level. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri Science and Technology. Math and science have always been my strengths and I enjoy watching students understand the concepts from my examples and connections. My outgoing and energetic personality and my quick/comfortable rapport with my students allows them to feel comfortable to ask for help and understand the content. I have always loved working with children, and I especially love helping children find their 'Aha!' moments. I can not wait to share my passion with new students who I can help find and develop their own love for learning. I try to make my classes as fun and enjoyable as possible. Children learn and remember more when they’re having fun! My students will always leave my class feeling happy, confident and motivated. I am looking forward to meeting new students and building new relationships.
