I like using real examples in lessons, by expressing different themes we can use readers to get a point across I believe using multiple mediums especially visual aids to help a learner understand certain concepts, words and phrases. Using auditory perception is also a good way of retaining information examples of this is different music sounds or videos that present the medium that you are working with. With visual aids using pictures to represent certain objects is always a plus with learners also this could be used to have them match an object with a word /words. We always play a build the words game as well where they are taught certain sounds whether it be at the beginning end or middle, and the learner needs to make a word pertaining to those sounds or letters they have been taught.
