I have been teaching university-level chemistry for three years, both in individual and in group settings. I have taught in-person, online, and hybrid format lessons, so I am skilled in engaging students in a variety of formats. I use practice exercises to help students absorb and retain information with the purpose of identifying the gaps in students' knowledge. My goal is to help my students gain a deeper understanding of the material, so that they do not merely memorize steps, but can apply the concepts to more difficult problems. I also focus on combatting students' self-doubt, as sometimes we can be our own worst enemies, and we often are more capable of doing things than we think we are. All in all, I aim to build my students' confidence both in the material and in themselves.
