My teaching is based on the student and their learning style. Every student learns differently and it is important to cater to the needs of the student. My tutoring method is to see where the student is academically and gain an understanding of where the student needs help. I like to meet the student where they are in their academic journey. I enjoy reading student essays and really engaging with their thought process. I find that reading the work of my students helps me connect with what they are trying to say in their paper and I can help them better communicate what it is they are trying to say. I enjoy helping with English, biology, history, speech, debate, sociology and communication. I’d like to learn what the goals of the students are so that I can help them reach those goals to the best of my ability. My idea of a successful session is for my students to feel confident in themselves to apply the learning
