I have been teaching in the classroom and online for over 20 years and it NEVER gets old or boring. My philosophy is finding connections between the past and the present. History and Social Sciences is supposed to be fun and interesting and should never be boring! I have created numerous course outlines and lesson plans but the drive for new ways to teach this information is constant. New technology is breathing new life into old standards and I couldn't be happier about it. I strongly believe that learning isn't static, everyone gets involved and "feels" the subject come to life. I am eager and enthusiastic every day because we only get one life and I will live mine to the fullest! I know every student learns differently from reading to listening to watching to experiencing and much more. My goal is to find as many different ways to learn these subjects as there are students in the class. I want to reach my students and the best way to do that is to allow them to show me how they learn. I am especially fond of new technology and I have found that my students and I have a two way conversation where I learn just as much as they. That is what makes me a life long learner and a huge fan of my student's success in life. C'mon in, the water's fine!
