If its online, I will discuss via sideshows ow via videos on how to say and pronounce words while also explaining them. Once we learnt a word we will then try adding them in sentences and then move to learning a few other words.

After we learnt three or four words, I will fo a short quiz to see if they understand the words or sentences and if they don't we can repeat them. This will be beginner while the other classes will be understanding sentences and paragraphs respectively, so the student goes at there own pace.

In person, I will explain a word, teach then how to write and similarly also do quizzes or spelling with a sheet of paper or by asking them to spell a word without looking.

I have been taught English my whole life and understand some people learn faster than others so I will do everything to make sure they are feeling confident and happy while listening and attempting. There is no failures when I teach. Only happy mistakes.

One main thing I do is praise and respect. Scolding and yelling only makes things seem more stressful and annoying so I would encourage them and tell students "its okay, you did your best" or "Don't give up, you were very close" because that will motivate them which will make them want to keep trying.
