I was the Head Boy when I was in school and always spent a lot of time since young being an advisor for other students whilst in school myself.
I would treat each individual differently and in a way that's more suited to them. Will try to establish the level the individual is at and put a plan together with goals and targets, slowly working towards them.
In today's climate, there are a lot of challenges and at times that can even include going outside to see what is going on in the world. What I aim to do is make individuals feel comfortable in their own home, whilst learning in the best way possible.
Will always include some sort of game within my lessons because I always felt that removing the fun from learning is the worst thing you can do, can't take life too seriously. But it is all about balance, fun is okay, as long as there is a good level of seriousness too.
For the lessons I like to make sure for both me and students that we have paper and pencils/pens on hand, as especially when dealing with music and writing, there is nothing like a good pen and paper.
Always open to suggestions from students on how they would like to learn, I've always been known as someone that can be flexible and adapt to any situation.
In summary, when dealing with me, always be prepared to have a lot of fun and also learn.
