My first session with each new student is an exploration of the individual’s capability, strengths, weaknesses, and assessment of what they would like to focus on.

From there, I tailor a unique scheme of work to cater to the individual’s needs and objectives. With further tuition, I perpetually adapt learning materials to cater to the individual’s preferred learning style to ensure maximum improvement occurs.

I allow students the opportunity to self assess their own work in combination with teacher assessment to ensure full understanding of strengths and weaknesses is addressed and learning objectives and outcomes are fully realised.

I can tailor exam preparation lessons to the student’s school examination board and coach students in how exam papers are marked. This allows students to fully comprehend how to structure their responses in conjunction with what examiners are looking for.

I have a strong belief in the simplest solution being the being the best solution. Rather than create convoluted lesson programmes, I create simple scaffolded lesson structures that take the complex info needed and explain it simply in a way that is digestible and easy to recall. Keep it simple but do it well.

Every student has their own unique strengths and weaknesses and I believe in tapping into their strong abilities to help them problem solve, assess what is being asked of them, and how they should structure and address their response.

While traditional academia is what some excel at, others may need more out of the box thinking and activities to stimulate learning. I believe in addressing both to assess which yields the greater results with the individual.
