In my class I help children and adults explore their creativity through art and art expression.
Not only do I encourage my students to have fun, I will also teach them the five main principles of art: perspective, proportion, lighting, composition and colours. These principles apply not only to visual art but also to graphic design, art direction, digital media, film and animation.
In an online class I (or the student) will select a subject to paint or draw then I will give a demonstration on how I would paint or draw the subject. For example, we may select the subject of "birds" - I will then provide an image of a bird and then show the class the first step on how to draw and/or paint the bird, then the class will follow my lead. We will then continue to do this step by step until the students have completed their work. I will give feedback throughout the class and tips and tricks that they'll be able to take onboard for their future artworks.
I teach the following subjects: acrylic painting, oil painting, watercolour painting, digital painting, pencil drawing, character design, concept art, storyboard art and cartoon/caricature art.
I have had over three years of experience as an art teacher for One Art Studio (located in Sydney, Australia) and as a one-on-one tutor for private art classes. I also work in other creative fields as a storyboard artist, concept artist and graphic designer for film, television and advertising companies.
