I teach students by reading passages from texts studied at GCSE, going through them at a slower rate to the classroom. I get students to analyse passages, discussing possible meanings, as well as introducing contextual ideas (which are hopefully interesting as well as useful). Each lesson ends with planning an exam-style question. My lessons are therefore a two-stage process: learning from the texts studied and then responding to them.
